Subaru Outback: Installation of accessories
Always consult your SUBARU dealer before installing fog lights or any other electrical
equipment in your vehicle. Such accessories may cause the electronic system to malfunction
if they are incorrectly installed or if they are not suited for the vehicle. We
recommend that you install only genuine SUBARU accessories on your vehicle.

Bulbs may become very hot while illuminated. Before replacing bulbs, turn off
the lights and wait until the bulbs cool down, Otherwise, there is the risk of sustaining
a burn injury.

CAUTION
Halogen headlight bulbs become very hot while in use. If you touch the bulb surface
with bare hands or greasy gloves, fingerprints or grease on the bulb surface will
develop into hot spot
1. Pull off the fender lining. For details, refer to “Pulling off the fender
lining” F11- 7.
2. Remove the bulb cover, by turning it counterclockwise.

CAUTION
Do not let fuel spill on the exterior surfaces of the vehicle. Fuels containing
alcohol may cause paint damage, which is not covered under the SUBARU Limited Warranty.
Your use of gasoline with detergent additives will help prevent deposits from
forming in your engine and fuel system.
To wash the windshield, pull the wiper control lever toward you. The washer fluid
sprays until you release the lever. The wipers operate while you pull the lever.
NOTE
The windshield washer fluid warning light illuminates when the washer fluid level
in the tank has dropped to the lower lim
