Subaru Outback (BR): Brake pad and lining
While maintaining a speed of 30 to 40 mph (50 to 65 km/h), step on the brake
pedal lightly. Repeat this five or more times.

CAUTION
Do not turn the ignition switch to the “START” position while the engine is running.
The engine is started in this position. The starter cranks the engine to start
it. When the key is released (after the engine has started), the key automatically
returns to the “ON” position.
If a malfunction occurs in the EBD system, the system stops working and the brake
system warning light and ABS warning light illuminate simultaneously.
The EBD system may be malfunctioning if the brake system warning light and ABS
warning light illuminate simultaneously during driving.
