1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and stop the engine.
2. Pull out the level gauge, wipe it clean, and insert it again.

There is no oil level gauge. To check the front differential gear oil level,
we recommend that you consult your SUBARU dealer for inspection.

A: REMOVAL
1) Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
2) Remove the front bumper face assembly.
Remove the clips, turn over the front mud guard, and disconnect the fog
light connector. (Model with
fog light)
Remove the clips at the upper side of the bumper.
Remove the clips from the fen
1) Door interlock switch
Although the map light switches are in the OFF position (manually off), the map
lights can be set to illuminate automatically in conjunction with a door opening,
etc. by use of the door interlock switch. The door interlock switch has the following
two positions.
