Subaru Outback (BR): Winter driving on 2.5 L turbo models
Original equipment summer tires are installed on your vehicle, which are not suitable for driving on slippery surfaces like snow-covered or icy roads. Compared to winter and all-season tires, summer tires provide much less traction on snowy and icy roads. Therefore, it is highly recommended to use winter tires when encountering such road conditions.
If you opt for winter tires, ensure they are the correct size and type for your vehicle. Install four winter tires that match in size, construction, brand, and load range, and avoid mixing radial, belted bias, or bias tires as this could lead to unsafe handling characteristics. Additionally, check that there is sufficient clearance between the tire and the vehicle body when selecting a tire.
Always drive cautiously regardless of the tire type on your vehicle to ensure safety on the road.
