Gear position indicator setting (MT models)
The gear position indicator light can be activated or deactivated by performing
the following procedure.
1. Turn the ignition switch to the “LOCK” position.

Battery (inspection, removal, installation)
A: REMOVAL
1) After disconnecting the battery ground terminal, remove the terminal cover, then disconnect the positive terminal.
2) Remove the battery cable holder from the battery rod.
3) Remove flange nut from the battery rod and remove battery holder.
Remove the battery.
B: INSTALLATION
Electronic parking brake – if the electronic parking brake cannot be released
WARNING
● When the electronic parking brake cannot be released, the electronic parking
brake system may malfunction. Driving in such conditions may cause an unexpected
accident. Contact your SUBARU dealer for inspection as soon as possible.
