A: REMOVAL
1) Change the front hood damper mounting position
from (A) to (B), and completely open the front
hood.
Tightening torque:
20 N*m (2.0 kgf-m, 14.8 ft-lb)
2) Remove the V-belt covers.

1) Change the front hood damper mounting position
from (A) to (B), and completely open the front
hood.
Tightening torque:
20 N*m (2.0 kgf-m, 14.8 ft-lb)

1) Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
2) Remove the rear shelf trim. <Ref. to EI-120, REMOVAL, Rear Shelf Trim.>
3) Remove the keyless entry control module.
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the bolt and remove the keyless entry control module.
2. OUTBACK
The most common causes of corrosion are:
1. The accumulation of moisture retaining dirt and debris in body panel sections,
cavities, and other areas.
2. Damage to paint and other protective coatings caused by gravel and stone chips
or minor accidents.
